The Jenson family travels to Ireland to a very green and fun week!
We are heading to Ireland for a week of fun! Our family, 2 parents and a 14 year old, will fly from Cincinnati, OH to Dublin, Ireland. We will fly out on Sunday, July 10 and arrive in Dublin the next day. We will be spending Monday, July 11 and Tuesday, July 12 in Dublin. We will pick a four star hotel and one four star restaurant to dine at. We will include a positive review of the hotel and restaurant. We will attend the theatre in The Temple Bar Region, visit the Dublin Castle, the National Gallery, Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, and go shopping on Grafton Street, all in those two days. Wednesday morning we will pick up a rental car at The Dublin Airport and head for Blarney We will include a Mapquest route and an estimate for time and gas. We will stay in a B&B in Blarney for Wednesday and Thursday. We will arrange a visit to The Blarney Castle, to kiss The Blarney Stone. We will also arrange a day trip to Adare to visit the local castle and take a thatched cottage tour. We will leave Blarney Friday morning and drive to Dingle. We will arrange lodging for Friday and Saturday night. While in Dingle we will arrange a scooter rental to se the peninsula, a day trip to visit the Blasket Islands, and a sightseeing trip to see Fungie the dolphin. Sunday morning we will leave bright and early and head for Shannon Airport. We will return our car and then take a return flight back to Cincinnati. We have a budget of 8,000 dollars for this trip.
